Tenuta Badessa is an estate with acres of olive groves and citrus trees and a farmhouse dating back to 1300. It belonged first to a community of monks and then to French wine producers. In early 1900 it was taken over by the current owners' family, who turned it into a prosperous farming village including houses for the farmers, stables for animals and tools warehouse. Tenuta Badessa has kept its rural traditions by producing and selling olive oil, jams and liquors; it has also transformed the existing spaces in rooms and apartments for guests. The restaurant and meeting room have been made from the old warehouse, while the stables have become a museum of rural culture. Where the stockyards once was, a beautiful swimming pool today lies: it's surrounded by palm and olive trees and sunbeds. Guests can go walking or cycling in the estate, which is a haven of peace and nature, an ideal spot to relax between the colours and scents of the countryside away from the city. RoomsTenuta Badessa has 3 rooms for the b&b formula and 9 apartments for self catering (breakfast on request at an extra charge). The rooms are located on the first floor of the main building with panoramic views over the courtyard, the garden and pool area on one side and over the surrounding countryside on the other side. All rooms have wrought iron beds, wooden furniture and private bathroom with large shower. Each room has air conditioning and TV. The apartments, which were once the peasants homes, are all on the ground floor and have air conditioning, TV and private bathroom. They are spacious and fresh and they keep original architectural features such as vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, arches and iron beams. Each apartment has kitchen and dining room, wrought iron beds, wooden furniture and private garden. The largest apartment has two floors and it accommodates up to 8 people. Rates
