Riding across the smooth hills that give shape to Galluras typical countryside, this stage takes you to Aggius. You get there riding through the amazing Valle della Luna - the Moon Valley - very famous for its majestic granite formations. The village was very well known for banditry, very widespread 200 years ago, and for the most famous bandit named the Muto di Gallura. There s also a unique museum on banditry, hosted in the old Pretura (court) building, in the oldest part of the village. Accommodation in a Agriturismo (Farmhouse).

Day 5 Aggius - Pattada 90km

This is a mountain route, quite challenging at some stages but the panoramic views are simply priceless! Riding across the monte Limbara, lake Coghinas and the natural preserved area of Su Filigosu you will be doubting if that is still Sardinia or some alpine landscape. Destination is Pattada, one of the highest villages on Sardinia, at 900 mt ASL. Pattada has a charming historic centre with paved and cobbled little streets which offer fascinating corners. The granite houses are characteristic with architectural elements on view, which often bear old inscriptions and old well-preserved wooden doors and window frames. The name of the village is in Sardinia also synonymous of a typical and hands made knife which belongs from this town, still today, a good portion of the town’s economy is still represented by the large number of handcrafters that turns metal and horns into amazing traditional knives. Accommodation in an Agriturismo.

Day 6 Pattada - Bosa 90km

Pattada to Bosa. The longest stage of the tour takes you from the highest village to the amazing historical city of Bosa. the medieval town of Bosa. It’s the only true river town of Sardinia, and its famous for its wine, embroidery, gold filigree and leather tanneries. The old town is simply lovely, with lots of small typical restaurants and handicraft shops. A stroll in the narrow streets of Bosa lets you breathe the real Mediterranean lifestyle. Overnight in Bosa in a four-star hotel.

Day 7 Bosa- Alghero 45km

The road that connects this two amazing medieval cities is one of the most famous among cyclists for the pure beauty of the landscapes overlooking the sea of the northwestern Sardinian coastline and also for its continous ups and downs that give shape to this stage. This day ends with a tour through the cobbled and narrow streets of old Alghero, the capital city of the so called Riviera del Corallo, a splendid Aragonese village.
