Day 1
- Arrival at your B&B
- Explore Alberobello with its famous trulli, stone conical houses which are part of the UNESCO heritage, and then visit a local winery with its natural cellar and a food & wine tasting.
Day 2
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Discover Ostuni, called “White City” for its whitewashed houses on the top of a hill. You can walk through its old town and enjoy views on the valley and the coast from its panoramic terraces.
- Lunch in a traditional masseria serving organic produce from their farm for a true foodie experience.
- Enjoy a stroll on the shoreline of Ostuni Marina and enjoy the fine white sandy dunes of Lido Morelli and the Coastal Dunes Natural Park.
Day 3
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Visit Conversano with its legendary castle, cathedral, San Benedetto Monastery and city walls before enjoying a cookery class in a masseria, where you will be shown how to use home-grown ingredients to create authentic Italian dishes.
- Lunch at the masseria with the dishes prepared during the cookery class.
- After the cookery class, treat yourself to an evening in Polignano a Mare, village built on cliff edges, with terraces directly on the sea.
Day 4
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Visit Castellana Caves, Italy's longest natural underground network. All along the route there are columns, stalagmites and stalactites – it’s like a great underground cathedral.
- After coming back to sunlight, enjoy a traditional meal in Cisternino, famous for its BBQ butchers.
Day 5
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Visit Lecce, also knowns as the Florence of the South. Lecce has got ancient origins; historical-artistic evidences date back to the Messapic and Roman Age until the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque times. Lecce is almost completely Baroque-decorated, and it has its own style called "Barocco Leccese" (Lecce's Baroque).
- Have a look at one of the many papier mache workshops in town and discover more about this wonderful art of making toys and dolls out of paper and glue.
Day 6
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Discover the Apulian capital city, Bari, from St Nicholas Basilica, to the castle, the cathedral, the main squares, the theatres and the seafront… on a rickshaw!
- Don't miss on of Bari's most memorable sights: the lovely ladies hand-rolling fresh pasta in the streets. They are making ‘orecchiette’, or “little ears”, and they sell this fresh pasta to local restaurants.
Day 7
- Breakfast at your B&B.
- Enjoy a nice walk in the Baroque town of Martina Franca, a maze of whitewashed alleys and elegant historic buildings. Do not miss to visit the Duke Palace and taste some good extra virgin olive oil in an oil mill near the city centre.
Day 8
Breakfast at your B&B and departure.
